Become A Intra-Oral Dental Assistant

The Intra-Oral Dental Assistant program at Westervelt College provides training for individuals looking for a rewarding career working in an oral healthcare setting. Intra-Oral Dental Assistants help dentists during examinations and treatments. They also provide direct client care, educate clients on the importance of oral health and perform basic laboratory duties and manage client records.

Upon completion of the program, graduates work as Level 1 Dental Assistants and can write their Level 2 exam through the NDAEB. After passing the exam, graduates can work as Level 1 or Level 2 Dental Assistants.

Be a vital member of the dental health team! From helping with dental procedures to answering the phone, patient care, and oral hygiene, Intra-Oral Dental Assistants play an essential role of a dental office.

The Intra-Oral Dental Assistant diploma program will provide you with an interactive learning experience on key topics such as compounding and dispensing prescriptions. You will be prepared for all aspects of the job.

At the end of your program, you will participate in a Work Practicum where you will have the opportunity to perform the duties learned in class and in the lab in a real-world setting. The practicum placement will be arranged through the college.
