Westervelt College’s Film and Video Production Storytelling for the Digital Age diploma program, offered in partnership with the Windsor Centre for Film, Digital Media and the Creative Arts, builds upon your natural skills and talents, preparing you for a wide variety of exciting career paths. From graphic design to digital marketing, from events production to video direction, our program provides the well-rounded knowledge that employers in the industry are looking for.

Throughout the program, you will receive hands-on training in such software as Adobe Creative Suite and Final Draft, as well as insightful instruction on production flow, cinematography, digital editing, developing your personal creative style, marketing, entrepreneurship and more.

Film and Video Production, Storytelling for the Digital Age Diploma


Westervelt College’s Film and Video Production diploma program is now available at our Windsor campus! If you live in Essex, Kent or Lambton Counties, you may be eligible for a $10,000 bursary through our program partner, the Windsor Centre for Film, Digital Media and Creative Arts. Our Film and Video Production Storytelling for the Digital Age diploma program focuses on the four key areas of film and video production:

  • Storytelling
  • Production
  • Post-Production
  • Marketing & Entrepreneurship

You will learn to create storyboards, write scripts, operate professional cameras and film equipment and create special effects. In-class instruction and creative assignments, you will get first-hand experience in the creative process, from inception to execution. You will also learn how to pursue and then complete projects by collaborating with crew members, actors and other members of the creative team. An internship in your final semester is the last step in our unique and immersive program.
