Personal Support Worker
The need for qualified personal support workers across Ontario has never been greater. In only 8 months, Westervelt College’s Personal Support Worker certificate program develops the skills and knowledge needed to work in long-term care homes, residential care facilities, hospitals, home health care services and more. Our program is designed by the National Association of Career Colleges (NACC) with training approved by the Ministry of Long-Term Care Act (LTCHA).
As a PSW, you will care for people who during periods of illness and recovery, assisting with personal care and household management. These tasks may include aiding with bathing and hygiene, meal preparation, medication and light housekeeping. It is a richly rewarding career for those who want to improve the quality of life for clients who need help during difficult times.
